Startup and use of the micromotor
1. Before connecting it to the mains supply, make sure that the mains voltage coincides with that
of the micromotor.
Connect line cord (13), the micromotor (1), and the pedal (3) to the regulator (2).
ATTENTION. DO NOT ROTATE THE MICROMOTOR WITHOUT SHANK OR BUR.
2. Remove the originally shank and put the bur into the micromotor (1). You should open the collet
chuck, turning left the central part of the micromotor. Turn it close. Make sure that the bur is well
clamped.
3. Turn on the main switch (15). If everything is correct it will beep slightly. The regulator will be
idle ready to start up. You can see a red pilot lamp (6) illuminated on the frontal part. Switch on
the start up key (7), the display (10) will be illuminated. Just select the speed pressing the arrows
(9) on the frontal part. Hold the micromotor (1) in one hand and tread on the pedal (3). The
selected speed remains stored, even with the machine off.
The start up/stop pedal (3) is essential to start up the machine.
If you purchase a foot speed control (Item 894) before use you have to program the control box in
order to this recognize the new foot pedal
To program the control box:
Before turn on the general switch, push at the same time, the start up key (7) and up arrow (9) and
without let go of, turn on the general switch. The foot speed control is ready to be used. When you
finish it will appear on the display H01 and it stay on memory since you change it again. You can
program again to be used with on/off foot pedal doing the same but pushing the down arrow, then
on the display it will appear H00.
4. In starting up the micromotor is programmed to turn right. If you want it to turn left you should
push the turn reversing key (8), then the green pilot lamp (5) will indicate that it is turning left.
5. To avoid any malfunction in the machine, in case it is overloaded the red pilot (6) on the front
will blink. If it is blocked for more than four seconds the regulator (2) will be disconnected. To
continue working just raise your foot and tread on the pedal (3) again. If overloading continues but
not for so long to block the regulator (2), working process will follow up to a safety threshold, when
the regulator will be disconnected. Then you will see a counter on the display (10). For a minute
the regulator (2) will regenerate and then it will beep once it is ready to work again.
6. To change the collet chuck, untwist the protector lid, turn left the central part from the
micromotor (1) 90º and put a bur stem within it. Then slacken it with the spanner supplied with the
micromotor for this purpose (1). Unscrew it anticlockwise.
Just proceed the other way round to assembly the machine. The collet chuck should be turned till
stop.
The concentric turn from the collet chuck to be verified comes to a peak value of 0.03mm.
In any case should you use the collet chuck opening system to stop the micromotor.
