- Whole beans are recommended to be ground just before use. The fragrance of the coffee
beans stored in a sealed container can be maintained for 4 weeks.
This is a vital step in the coffee making process if you are grinding your own coffee and
-
takes practice. Coffee must be finely ground. Coffee ground to the correct level should look
like salt. If the coffee is too fine, water will not filter through it. This degree of grinding is
detected when the coffee looks like powder and feels like flour to touch.
If ground too coarsely, water will pass through the beans too quickly, preventing the coffee
-
from being extracted to the maximum for top flavour.
- Before using the coffee grinding function, make sure that all components are installed
correctly. Fig. 4
The markings on the coffee tank are designed to adjust the grind thickness. Fig. 5

0 > fine grinding level
30 > coarse grinding level
0-15 > slower extraction
15-30 > faster extraction
- Press the On/Off button, the coffee machine will enter the standby mode and the grinding
indicator will light up, showing the function is ready to be used. Place the coffee bean tank
in position and add coffee beans. Place the portafilter on the bracket below the grinder.
Press the grind button and the machine will start grinding coffee. The grinding level must
be set while the grinder is active and operating.
- The indicator light will flash during the grinding process.
Warning
The operation indicator light will be flashing red if the coffee bean tank is not correctly placed.
Setting the grinding time
- The user can use the grinding function by just pressing a button. Hold down the grind
button and it will start operating, release the button when the desired amount of coffee
is obtained. The machine will emit a long beep and the grind icon will flash 3 times. The
system will save it and, next time you press the grind button, it will work with these
parameters.
The system will only save times over 5 seconds.

Warnings
- Single or double coffees can only be brewed if the device has preheated.
The machine will beep and its light indicators will turn on when there is not enough water

in the water tank. After refilling it, it will continue operating.
- After using the steam function, wait for it to enter the standby mode after preparing one

coffee or brewing hot water. These functions cannot be performed while the device is
cooling down.
Empty the drip tray when the float that indicates the water level on the tray floats.

Descaling
Descaling instructions
We recommend descaling every 4-6 months. The device includes a cleaning reminder.

When the system detects the device has brewed 15 litres, the reminder is activated.
- You can use descaling tablets, liquid descaler, white vinegar and hot water for this process.
Descaling preparation
- Insert descaling tablets, liquid descaler, white vinegar or warm water into the water tank.
- Descaling tablets: Fill the water tank with a litre of water. Add the tablets and wait for them
to dissolve.
Liquid descaler: Add half a cup of liquid descaler in the water tank, and pour a glass of

warm water so the solution is mixed correctly.
- White vinegar/warm water: Add one and a half tablespoons of white vinegar to the water
tank and a glass of warm water to mix the solution properly.
Place the water tank again in its place. Fig. 6

- Place a half-litre container under the coffee outlet and another under the steamer tube.

Descaling is made in 3 steps
Step one
On standby mode, hold down the On/Off button and the double coffee button to start the
-
cleaning process.
- When the right indicator light starts flashing quickly:
- Start the descaling cycle by turning the knob to the steam position. The indicator light will
turn on.
It will start pumping water and hot water will flow out of the coffee spout and the steamer
-
tube.
- When finished, a beep will sound, the steam function indicator will turn off and the indicator
with a dot symbol will start flashing, indicating that this step has been completed.
Turn the knob to this position. The light indicator with a dot will be steady. Then, continue
-
with the next step.
Step two
Clean the steamer tube and the coffee outlet to remove the descaling product.

- Clean the water tank and fill it with clean water.
- Empty the water collecting containers. Continue with the last step.
