Cleaning and maintenance
CAUTION!
• Always turn off and unplug the unit from the mains
socket before cleaning it.
• To avoid all electricity-related risks, never immerse the
unit, cable or power plug in water or any other liquid.
Never rinse them under a tap.
Important: Do not use solvents, chemical or abrasive
cleaning products, wire brushes, sharp objects or
scouring pads to clean the unit.
• Empty the tank after each use. Do not put the iron away with
water left in the tank to prevent the build-up of residue or
limescale on the inside.
• Clean the iron with a soft, damp cloth.
• Clean the soleplate and steam outlets with a soft, damp cloth
to remove any limescale deposits.
• Allow the unit to air dry or dry the various surfaces with a soft,
dry cloth.
Anti-limescale system
A special resin filter, located inside the water tank, softens the water and prevents limescale
build-up in the soleplate. The resin filter is permanent and does not need to be replaced.
Self-cleaning procedure
The self-cleaning function helps to remove impurities and limescale that build up over time
inside the soleplate and the steam outlet holes. We recommend using the self-cleaning
function once every 2 weeks or more often, depending on how often the unit is used and your
area's water hardness.
