Cleaning and maintenance
Problem
The steam burst
function isn't
working or the
steam is too weak.
Water leaks from
the soleplate.
Burn marks on the
fabric.
The soleplate is
scratched.
The iron is leaving
brown stains on
clothing.
Possible Cause
• There isn't enough
water in the water
tank.
• Incorrect steam and
temperature settings.
• The tank has been
overfilled.
• The steam jet button
was pressed while the
heat indicator light
was on.
• A chemical additive
has been added to the
tank (e.g. a descaling
agent, perfumed
substances, vinegar,
etc.).
• The selected
temperature is too
high.
• The iron has been left
in contact with an area
of the fabric for too
long.
• The soleplate has
at some point come
into contact with zips,
rivets, buttons or
similar on clothing.
• Water was left in
the tank after use.
Residual water
can stain clothing,
in addition to the
soleplate.
• Limescale has
accumulated in the
tank.

Solution
• The water tank must be filled to at
least 1/4 of its maximum capacity.
• Set the steam control knob to
and turn the temperature control
knob to "MAX".
• Do not exceed the "MAX" mark
indicated on the water tank.
• Press the steam burst button when
the heating indicator turns off.
• Do not add any substances to the
water tank, as this may damage the
iron. Fill the tank with tap water (and
nothing else).
• Reduce the iron's temperature
setting.
• Keep moving the iron and do not
leave it on any section of fabric for
too long.
• Use less pressure when ironing.
• Avoid ironing such accessories or
hard objects, as they can scratch
the soleplate.
• Empty the tank after each use.
• Start the self-cleaning process to
maintain the iron.
