Safety Instructions

must be exercised when installing, maintaining or operating
the dishwasher.
Always contact your dealer, distributor, service agent or
manufacturer about problems or conditions you do not
understand.

Check with the installer to make sure the appliance
has been properly grounded to avoid possible
electrical shock. Be sure you read the important
personal safety instructions before you use this
dishwasher.

When using your dishwasher, follow basic
precautions, including the following:
1.
Read all mstruct=ons before us=ngthe dishwasher.
2.
Use the dishwasher only for =tsintended funct=on.
3.
D=sconnect electrical power to dishwasher before
attempting to serv=ce.
4.
To avo=delectrical shock hazard, the s=desand back
must be enclosed and the front panels must be
attached before electrical power =sapplied to the
dishwasher. Refer to the =nstallat=onmstruct=ons for
proper grounding procedures.
5.
Connect to a properly rated, protected and s=zed
power supply c=rcuit to avo=d electrical overload.
6.
Chddren should never be perm=tted to operate, or play
in, with, or around th=sdishwasher.
7.
To reduce the risk of injurywhen loading =ternsto be
washed, sharp or po=nted=ternsshould be located w=th
the handles up. Also, load sharp =ternsso they are not
likely to damage the door seal.
8.
Do not touch the heat=ng element on the bottom of
the tub dunng or at the complet=on of a cycle. It wdl
be hot.
9.
Use only detergents and nnse additwes designed for a
residential automat=c dishwasher. Never use soap,
laundry detergent, or hand washing detergent =nyour
dishwasher. Keep these products out of reach of
chddren.
10. Do not s=t,stand on or abuse the door or dish racks of
the dishwasher.
11. Under certa=n condit=ons, hydrogen gas may be
produced =na hot water system that has not been
used for two weeks or more. Hydrogen gas is
explosive. If the hot water system has not been used
for such a period, turn on all hot water faucets and let
the water flow from each for several minutes. Th=swdl
release any accumulated hydrogen gas. As the gas =s
flammable, do not smoke or use an open flame dunng
th=sprocess.
12. Do not wash plast=c =ternsunless marked "dishwasher
safe" or the equivalent. For plast=c =ternsnot so
marked, check the manufacturer's recommendat=ons.
13. Do not tamper w=th controls.
14. To prevent acc=dental chdd entrapment and
suffocat=on risks, always remove the door to the
washing compartment when remowng an old
dishwasher from serv=ceor discarding =t.
15. Use caut=on when unloading the dishwasher. D=shes
will be hot =f unloaded shortly after a cycle has
completed.
16. Cert=fied residential dishwashers are not =ntended for
licensed food establishments.
