OPERATION
PRE-OPERATION CHECK

Air cleaner (Fig. B1)
Check the air cleaner elements to be sure they are
clean and in good condition.
Clean or replace the elements if necessary following
the instructions in section "AIR CLEANER SERVICE".
CAUTION:
Never run the power unit without the air
cleaner. Rapid wear will result.

BATTERY PACK ATTACHMENT/DETACHMENT

STARTING THE POWER UNIT
1. Connect the Bowden cable to the metal bracket

2. Briefly press the electronic ON/OFF button and the

Open the battery compartment cover (Fig. C1).
To attach the battery pack, align the battery ribs with the
guiding slots of the power unit and press the battery pack
down until you hear a "click" (Fig. C2).
To detach the battery pack, press the battery-release
button and lift the battery pack out of the battery
compartment (Fig. C3).
Close the battery compartment cover and the cover would be
closed tightly by the magnetic force (Fig. C1).
