A loose chain will in-
crease the risk of kickback. AIoose chain
may jump out of guide bar groove. This
may injure operator
and damage chain.
A loose chain will cause chain, guide bar,
and sprocket to wear rapidly.
iMPORTANT!
Failure to follow these instructions when tensioning
saw chain will damage saw and void the warranty.
New saw chains will stretch. Check chain tension
fiequently when first used and tighten when chain
becomes loose around guide bar.

screwclockwise
to tension
saw chain o__r...
Turn chaintensioning
knob clockwise
to tension saw chain...
Pull chain to check tension.
Guide
links should not come out of guide
bar groove...
Make sure chain moves freely around
guide bar then tighten
both nuts.
