Checking the function
• The function display is lit when the UVC lamp is switched on.
• Bitron Premium 120 W / 180 W: The bright UVC light provides lighting for the function display.
A weakly lit function display indicates that the UVC clarifier is switched off. Recommended
function check:
– Only switch on one UVC clarifier at a time. Switch off adjacent UVC clarifiers.
Maintenance and cleaning
WARNING
Risk of severe injuries or death by electric shock.
 Disconnect all electrical devices in the water from the power supply before reaching into the
water.
 Disconnect the unit from the mains before you start working on it.
CAUTION
The quartz glass and UVC lamp could break and result in cuts.
 Carry out all work on the UVC clarifier carefully to avoid cutting injuries.
 Avoid vibrations, impacts and hectic movements to prevent the breaking of glass.
NOTE
The unit may be damaged, if the water flow is suddenly interrupted downstream of the outlet
(e.g. by a slide valve). The sudden interruption can cause a temporary pressure increase of over
1 bar (hydraulic shock).
Switching off: First switch off the pump, then close the slide valve. If the unit is operated in a

filter system, first take the filter system out of operation.
Switching on: First open the slide valve, then switch on the pump. If the unit is operated in a

filter system, start up the filter system last.
As an alternative, install the slide valve upstream of the inlet.

