Preparing the appliance for installation
12 Preparing the appliance for installation
Install the appliance
•
according to the enclosed installation instructions (see accessories bag).
•
Set up the appliance in a dry, well-ventilated room whose ambient temperature
corresponds to the climate class for which the appliance is designed.
APPLIANCE DAMAGE!
Leave the appliance to stand for 12 hours after transport to allow the refrigerant to
collect in the compressor. Failure to observe this may damage the compressor and cause
the appliance to fail. This would void all warranty claims.

Minimum clearances for ventilation
Air circulation at the rear, side and top of the appliance influences energy consumption
and refrigerating/freezing performance (depending on model). It is essential that the
minimum clearances for ventilation of the appliance are observed as shown in the
following drawing. If the minimum clearances are not observed, the accumulated air
cannot escape and the compressor is in continuous operation, which shortens the life of
the appliance.
