lead. Inhalation of toxic dust may endanger a sander operator or to bystanders. In this case, you should use appropriate personal
protective equipment as dust masks, work in well ventilated areas and use external dust removal installations.
INSTALLATION OF EQUIPMENT
Attaching the sanding sheet
CAUTION! Only install the sanding sheet when the supply voltage is disconnected. Remove the battery from the tool socket.
The sander allows the attachment of sandpaper or sand cloth in two ways. You can use the Velcro located on the tool plate. Then
the sanding sheet should have one side adapted to be fastened using Velcro. In this case, the dimensions of the sheet should
correspond to the size of the tool plate given in the table.
Secure the sheet so that it does not protrude beyond the plate and the holes in the sheet match the holes in the tool plate (IIA).
This will allow for the eff ective extraction of dust generated during operation.
In the case of sandpaper or sand cloth that cannot be attached with Velcro, it is possible to install it using latches. In that event, the
sheet width should be the same as the plate width, but the length should allow installation by means of latches. Sheet dimensions
are provided in the table.
Place the sheet on the plate so that the holes of the sheet match with the holes in the tool plate. This will allow for the eff ective
extraction of dust generated during operation. Then, fasten both ends of the sheet using the latches (IIB). Make sure that the sheet
is not skewed against the plate and does not protrude beyond its shorter edges.
Dust extraction
The tool is equipped with a dust extraction system. The use of a dust extraction system improves effi ciency and safety at work. A
fl exible hose connected to the dust extraction system, e.g. an industrial vacuum cleaner, must be fi xed to the dust extraction outlet.
Do not use household vacuum cleaners as dust extraction systems. Household vacuum cleaners are not suitable for extracting
dust generated during operation with a tool and such use can lead to damage to the vacuum cleaner.
The adapter for connecting the hose to the dust extraction outlet must be purchased separately. The connection must be made in
such a manner that the fl exible hose does not interfere with manoeuvring the tool during operation.
PRODUCT OPERATION
Preparing for operation
All the assembly steps described above must be carried out before starting work.
Operating the sander
Where required, secure the material to be machined in such a manner as it cannot move during work; use vices or clamps. The
incorrect securing of the material to be machined may lead to material moving uncontrollably during work which increases the
risk of serious injuries.
Wear personal protective equipment, such as eye and hearing protection, a dust mask, gloves and appropriate work clothing.
Make sure to perform all assembly and adjustment activities.
Check that the power switch is in the off – O position, then connect the battery to the tool.
Slide the battery into the socket guides until the latch (III) engages. A correctly installed battery cannot be removed except by
pressing and holding the latch button and then sliding the battery out from the socket.
Hold the sander with both hands by the main and additional handles and then keep it in a safe position so that the plate and the
sanding sheet do not come into contact with any object (IV). Move the power switch to the on – I position. Allow the sander to reach
the nominal operating speed and only then place it on the material to be machined.
The sander is turned off when the power switch is set to the off – O position.
The sander must be held in a safe position until the complete fi nishing of work. It is forbidden to stop the tool plate by pressing
it against the machined surface. Then put down the sander, disconnect the battery from the tool and proceed with maintenance.
Tips for working with the sander
It is forbidden to hold the sander in any other way but by the handles. Improper grip does not ensure safe operation and may
obscure ventilation openings. This can lead to overheating of the tool.
The sanding sheet must be selected according to the type of sanded surface. It is recommended to consult the dealer or the
manufacturer of the sanding sheets for advice on their intended use.
Do not reuse the used sanding sheet. Do not use damaged sanding sheets. Sheets with cracks, tears, cavities, or other damages
may disintegrate during operation and cause injuries. Select the sandpaper grit size according to the type of work. Use a more
coarse sheets for sanding and peeling. Use a fi ner-grit sheet for fi nishing works.
It is recommended to start work with a coarser sanding sheet and fi nish with a fi ner-grit sanding sheet. Sanding in this manner will
be faster and lead to a better end result.
Do not use the sanding sheet used for sanding metal to sand wood. Do not use the sanding sheet used for sanding paint coat to
