Store the machine in a dry place only.
5) This machine must never be used by anyone with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack
of knowledge or experience.
6) Obtain hearing protection and wear it whenever you use the machine.
7) Do not use the device barefoot or with sandals that do not completely cover the feet. Avoid clothing that
is too loose or has knots or strings.
8) Use the machine in the recommended position; the surface on which you stand must be flat and solid.
9) This machine should not be used on a tarmac or gravel surface as material may be thrown up and injure
the user.
10) Before each use, visually check the machine to ensure that the cutting elements, their bolts and other
fasteners are tight, the housing is not damaged and that the shields and guards are in place.
11) To maintain the balance of the machine, always replace worn or damaged parts at the same time.
12) Unreadable or damaged labels must be replaced.
13) Before starting the machine, make sure the material inlet is empty.
14) Never put your face near the chimney or any other part of your body.
15) Never put your clothes and hands (or any other part of the body) in the material inlet or discharge chute,
or near moving parts.
16) During operation, do not climb to a level higher than the base of the machine.
17) Never approach the discharge area while the machine is operating.
18) Take particular care to ensure that the plants to be shredded are free of foreign objects (e.g. metal, stones,
bottles, cans etc.).
19) If the blade hits a foreign object or if the machine starts to vibrate or make suspicious noises, switch off
the power supply immediately and wait until the machine has come to a complete stop. Unplug the machine
and do the following before restarting and using it again:
- Check for signs of damage;
- Repair or replace damaged parts;
- Locate loose parts and retighten if necessary.
20) Do not allow plants to accumulate in the discharge area, as this will block the machine and the plants may
come out of the inlet suddenly.
21) If the machine becomes blocked, switch off the power supply and disconnect the cable before trying to
unblock it.
22) Never use the machine if its guards and covers are defective, or without its safety devices, for example if
the collection bag is not fitted.
23) Do not allow any debris or objects to obstruct the power socket, as this may damage the socket or cause a
fire hazard.
24) Always unplug the machine before moving it.
25) Do not tilt the machine while it is under power.
26) After striking a foreign object, unplug the machine and examine it to make sure it is not damaged.
27) Before examining the machine, repairing it, storing it or changing an accessory, turn off the power, unplug
the machine and wait for moving parts to come to a complete stop. Allow the machine to cool down before
carrying out any checks or adjustments. Keep the machine clean and well maintained.
28) Store the machine in a dry place out of reach of children.
29) Always wait until the machine has cooled down before storing it.
30) When handling the cutting elements, remember that they can move even if the power supply is cut off by
the locking system.
31) For safety reasons, worn or damaged parts must be replaced. Use only original spare parts and accessories.
32) Do not under any circumstances attempt to disable the protective locking mechanism.
