Starting the vacuum cleaner/blower
Before starting the vacuum cleaner/blower, make sure that the 2 intermediate vacuum cleaner/blower tubes
are correctly attached to each other and to the machine housing.
Operation of the vacuum/blower
Blower mode
Before starting, inspect the area to be cleaned. Remove all debris and objects that may be thrown, caught or
entangled in the vacuum/blower.
Select the blower function with the selector lever on the side of the machine (fig. 7) and switch it on. Place
the machine on its castors and move it forward with the end of the tube pointing towards the debris to be
removed.
Alternatively, hold the end of the tube just above the ground and swing it from side to side as you move
forward, pointing it towards the debris to be removed. Blow the debris into a pile and then use the vacuum
function to shred it.
Vacuum mode
Before starting, inspect the area to be cleaned. Remove all debris and objects that may be thrown, caught or
entangled in the vacuum/blower. Select the vacuum function with the selector lever on the side of the machine
(Fig. 7) and switch it on. Place the machine on its wheels and move it forward with the end of the tube towards
the debris to be vacuumed. Alternatively, you can hold the end of the tube just above the floor and swing it
from side to side as you move forward, pointing it at the debris to be vacuumed. Do not push the end of the
tube into debris as this may clog the suction tube and reduce the efficiency of the unit.
Plant material, such as leaves, contain a large amount of water and can therefore stick to the inside of the
suction tube. To limit this problem, let the plant material dry for a few days before vacuuming.
