INSTALLATION - VENTED TO THE OUTSIDE

Verify that the power is turned off at the source.
A WARNING:
it the house wiring is not
2-wire with a ground wire, a ground must be pro-
vided by the installer. When house wiring is alu-
minum, be sure to use UL-approved antioxidant
compound and aluminum-to-copper connectors.
e Remove the junction box cover.
e Secure the house wiring to the junction box with
a strain relief (not provided).
¢ Connect the white lead to the branch circuit white
lead.
¢ Connect the black leac to the branch circuit black
lead.
* Connect the green/yellow lead to the branch
circuit green lead or bare ground lead.
e Secure all the connections with wire nuts on each
electrical connector. Check for secure wiring con-
nections.
¢ Push the wires into the junction box and replace
the cover. Be sure the wires are not pinched.
e Secure the junction box cover with the 2 original
Screws.
Put the main power disconnect switch located on
the control box cover to the ON position. Test all
hood functions to ensure electrical connections.

operations.

INSTALLING BAFFLE GREASE
FILTERS AND DRIP TRAY
Installing Drip Tray
1. Lift drip tray with slots and filter channel toward
the front.
2.Align the tray with the hood drip tray channel and
ease into position.

Installing Baffle Grease Filters
1.Remove protective film.
2.Hold both filter knobs while positioning the front end
of the filter in the upper (front) filter channel. Pull the
filter as far forward as possible into the channel.
3.Lift the opposite end of the filter, aligning with the
rear (lower) filter channel.
4. Push the filter into the rear channel, allowing it to
settle into the rear channel.
5. Make sure filters are seated properly.

FINALIZE INSTALLATION
e Remove any remaining protective film from the
front face of the hood.
¢ Be sure fan and lights operate correctly. Refer to
the Owner's Manual for operating instructions and
Problem Solver.
