Ensure that the spot where you wish to work is
free of power cables, gas lines or water pipes
(e.g. using a metal detector).
A caustic fluid may leak from defective
battery packs (30% caustic potash solu-
tion)! If battery fluid leaks out and comes
into contact with your skin, rinse immediately with
plenty of water. If battery fluid leaks out and comes
into contact with your eyes, wash them with clean
water and seek medical treatment immediately!
Do not recharge a fully charged battery pack!
Overcharging damages and shortens the lifespan
of the battery pack!
Protect battery packs from water and
moisture!
Never use faulty or deformed battery packs!
Do not expose battery packs to naked
flame!
Do not open battery packs!
Do not touch or short-circuit battery packs!
Remove the battery pack from the machine before
any adjustment or maintenance is carried out.
Before fitting the battery pack, make sure that the
machine is switched off.
Keep hands away from the rotating tool!
Remove chips and similar material only with the
machine at standstill.
Dust from material such as paint containing lead,
some wood species, minerals and metal may be
harmful. Contact with or inhalation of the dust may
cause allergic reactions and/or respiratory
diseases to the operator or bystanders.
Certain kinds of dust are classified as carcinogenic
such as oak and beech dust especially in conjunc-
tion with additives for wood conditioning (chro-
mate, wood preservative). Material containing
asbestos must only be treated by specialists.
- Where the use of a dust extraction device is
possible it shall be used.
- The work place must be well ventilated.
- The use of a dust mask of filter class P2 is
recommended.
Follow national requirements for the materials you
want to work with.
Never attempt to charge the
battery pack with two chargers
simultaneously.
Protect the charger from moisture.
Danger - electrical voltage!

Only use the charger indoors.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the tool.
Keep children away from the battery charger and
the working area! Keep your battery charger out of
reach of children!
Pull out the mains plug immediately if the battery
charger starts to smoke or flames emerge!
Do not insert objects into the ventilation slots on
the battery charger – there is a danger of electric
shocks and short circuits!

6 Initial Operation
Charger:
Before plugging in, check to see that
the rated mains voltage and mains
frequency, as stated on the rating label,
match with your power supply.
Minimum distance to other objects is 5
cm.
7 Use of PowerMaxx
7.1
Battery pack
Charge the battery pack before use.
Removing battery pack: Press battery pack
release (4) and take out battery pack (5).
Inserting battery pack: (5)Insert battery pack
until it engages.
