But where possible, always charge to 100% so that you have the great-
est range.
Charging batteries:
First switch the scooter off.
Before you start using the charger, check that the power supply is
230 V.
Connect the charger with the charging socket of the scooter
(Fig. 40) and then with the power socket (230 V).
The charging socket is located on the side below the ignition switch
(Fig. 41).

Once the charging procedure is complete, unplug the mains plug and
disconnect the scooter from the charger.
When not in use, the battery should be charged once a month in
order to avoid deep discharge.
Deep discharge shortens the service life of the battery significantly, or
the battery may also be damaged by the deep discharge.
Batteries should be stored upright, in dry, frost-free conditions.
As soon as the range with fully-charged batteries starts to decrease
significantly, you should replace the batteries.

8.2.2.
Replacing the batteries
Be very careful when working on the batteries. Do not use metal tools,
do not touch the battery terminals and ensure that you follow the battery
manufacturer's instructions.
Caution! This work should only be done by a
trained technician. There is danger of fatal injury!
Only use batteries that are approved for this scooter (see Technical
data).
Make sure that the scooter is switched off before starting to replace
the batteries.
(See also Section 6.9 - Disassembling for storage).
The batteries are located underneath the seat of the scooter and are
protected by the housing cover.
Start by removing the housing cover.
- Disconnect the plug connections carefully and without using force.
Undo the screw on the mounting bracket.
Now remove the batteries (Fig. 42).
Lift the new batteries into the space provided and connect the con-
tacts. Make sure to observe the correct colour-coding (red and black,
Fig. 43).
Reattach the housing cover and the seat
When the batteries have reached the end of
their life, i.e. cannot be sufficiently charged
any more, they must not be disposed of with
the household waste. When new batteries are
purchased, the mobility dealer takes the old
batteries and disposes of them correctly.
