2. SAFETY INFORMATION
2.1 Intended use TENS mode
It is used for temporary relief of pain associated with sore and
aching muscles in the neck, shoulder, back, joint, hip, hand,
abdomen, foot, upper extremities (arm) and lower extremities
(leg) due to strain from exercise or normal household work acti-
vities. Also suitable for the symptomatic relief and management
of chronic and untreatable pain, and for the relief of pain caused
by arthritis.
EMS mode:
1) relaxation of muscle spasms
2) prevention or delay of atrophy from lack of use
3) increase in localised blood circulation
4) muscular re-education
5) immediate post-surgery stimulation of the calf muscle to
prevent vein thrombosis
6) maintaining or increasing range of movement
TENS or EMS can be used at home or in hospital. Must be used
only by patients of 18 years or more in age.
