Before you begin to assemble this product, lay out all of the parts to become familiar with their locations
on the stool. Note that there are two Left Legs and two Right legs. When you place a leg on its side with
the two higher holes facing up, the other two holes on the Left Leg will face left. The other two holes
in the Right Leg will face right. See Figure 2.

2. Place a Left Leg (CC) and a Right Leg (DD) on a clean, protected surface so the lower holes
face each other. Apply an even coat of glue into the holes that face each other. Insert a
Short Side Stretcher (HH) into the upper holes and a Long Side Stretcher (I) into the lower
holes. Gently tap with a rubber mallet and quickly wipe away any excess glue. See Figure 2.
Repeat for the other pair of legs.

Apply an even coat of glue to the remaining four holes in each pair of legs. With one pair of

legs lying on its side, insert the Short Side Stretcher (HH) into the upper holes and the Long Side
Stretcher (I) into the lower holes. Take the other pair of legs and tap the stretchers into
the proper holes. See Figure 3. You have now completed the undercarriage assembly.
Proceed to Step 4 without delay before the glue dries because you may need to adjust the legs
to attach the swivel.
