the tapered ends of the Wood Wedges (P) and pound them into the slots in the bottoms of the
Back Posts (E & F) as shown in Figure 6. Be careful not to displace the Back Posts.
Fig. 7
Drill a 3/32" pilot hole through the hole in the Back Posts (E & F) and into each end of the Back (B).
9.
Screw a #8 x2" Black Screw (K) into each hole. (Rub a small amount of soap onto the threads to
help this process.) Tighten the screws until the Back and Back Posts are securely pulled
together. Caution: overtightening could strip the wood in the Back. To cover the screw hole, place
a small amount of glue around the insides of the holes on the Back Posts and insert Wooden
Buttons (Q). See Figure 7. If any glue gets on the outside area of the Button, thoroughly sand
the area so it can absorb stain or finish.
Apply finish now before you proceed with this assembly.
10. After the finish has thoroughly dried, place the seat upside-down on a clean protected surface.
Place the Swivel toward the front of the seat ("FRONT" is stamped on top of the swivel). Place
the leg assembly upside-down on the bottom of the seat as shown in Figure 8. Attach with
#12 x 1" Pan Head Screws (L).
