Electronic Water Control
This machine is equipped with an
electronic water control system.
The electronic water control makes it
possible to feed variable amounts of
water to the cutting wheel. No water is
fed to the cutting wheel during idling or
when the machine is turned off.
Before starting work
While the engine is shut off,

familiarize yourself with the control
panel for the water control system
and the sequence of motions
needed to operate it.
All control panel buttons can be
N
reached with the thumb of the right
hand while the right hand remains
on the rear handle.
The left hand must always remain
N
on the front handle. Failure to do so
may result in loss of control and
severe personal injury or death of
the operator or bystanders.

Control panel
When the engine is running, the
operator can activate/deactivate the
electronic water control and adjust the
water flow.

1 Activates the electronic water
control; increases water flow to
cutting wheel.
2 Activates the electronic water
control; decreases water flow to
cutting wheel.
3 Deactivates the electronic water
control; no water is fed to the cutting
wheel.
The water control system has 9 levels.
The highest flow setting is obtained by
pressing the (+) control button on the
water control panel 9 times in
succession or holding the (+) control
button for 5 seconds. If you press the
(+) button more than 9 times, it will
remain at the highest setting. Press the
(-) button to reduce the water flow.
Using the electronic water control
Start the engine: see the chapter

"Starting/Stopping the Engine."
Briefly push the (+) button or (–)
N
button with the thumb of the right
hand. To avoid loss of control, the
right hand must always remain on
the rear handle while doing so; the
left hand must always remain on the
front handle. No water is fed to the
cutting wheel during idling.
During use, the amount of water set by
the operator is delivered to the cutting
wheel.
Adjust the water flow as necessary –

to do so, repeatedly push the (+)
button or (–) button with the thumb
of the right hand until the correct
water quantity is attained. To avoid
loss of control and the possibility of
severe personal injury or death, the
right hand must always remain on
the rear handle while doing so; the
left hand must always remain on the
front handle.
The water pressure of the source water
supply will affect the actual amount of
water flow to the cutting wheel at any
setting. For proper dust suppression and
cutting performance, always make sure
that the water flow is within the proper
range, as described in the chapter
"Sample Applications."
If the cut-off machine is idling after use,
water will not be fed to the cutting wheel
– the electronic water control, however,
remains activated. When use is
resumed, the last water volume setting
will be automatically resumed.
