• If there is a drawer located under the built-in appliance, make sure that
there is sufficient distance (2 cm) between the contents of this drawer
and the bottom of the appliance in order to ensure good ventilation.
• Do not place flammable objects (e.g. sprays) in the drawer under the
hob. Any cutlery trays must be made of heat-resistant material.
Precautions in case of appliance failure:
• If a fault is detected, the appliance must be switched off and the power
supply must be disconnected.
• In the event of chipping or cracks in the glass ceramic hob, it is
imperative that the appliance is disconnected from the mains and the
after-sales service is notified.
• Repairs may only be carried out by qualified personnel. Never open
the appliance yourself.
• WARNING: If the surface is cracked, switch off the appliance to avoid
the possibility of electric shock.
Other precautions:
• Always ensure that the cooking vessel is centred in the cooking zone.
The bottom of the pan should cover the cooking zone as much as
possible.
• For users with a pacemaker, the magnetic field may influence the
function of the pacemaker. We recommend that you seek advice from
your supplier or doctor.
• Do not use plastic or aluminium containers: they could melt on hot
hobs.
• Disposal of this device requires a special procedure. Please contact
your local authority about recycling possibilities.
• Never put out a fire with water. Extinguish the cooking area. Carefully
smother flames with a lid, extinguishing cap or similar.
