Charging the battery (for ZI-STE8000 and ZI-STE8004)

Only use chargers recommended by the manufacturer to charge the battery. Never use chargers
that are not intended for the battery type (fire hazard!).

Avoid overheating when charging the battery. Ensure sufficient air supply so that no heat can ac-
cumulate.
Allow the battery to cool down after intensive use before recharging it.

Allow the battery to cool down immediately after charging.
•

Always charge the battery in a well-ventilated area.
•
Do not smoke when charging the battery. Keep the battery away from open flames and sparks.
Oxyhydrogen, which is produced during charging of the battery, is explosive.

Storage
Storage period up to 1 month:
No
special
preparation is required, only to check whether the ON-OFF switch is in the "OFF"
•
position and machine is cooled off.
Storage period longer than one month:
Fuels are toxic and must not be released into the environment!
Contact your local authorities for information on proper disposal.

CLEANING, MAINTENANCE, STORAGE, DISPOSAL
Fuel valve:
• Set the fuel valve to the "OFF" position.
• Remove the sediment cup, O-ring, and filter (1).
• Clean all parts in solution (with mild detergent) (2).
• Put back together (3).
Fuel filter:
• Remove the fuel filter.
• Clean the fuel filter in solution (with mild detergent) (4-5).
• Reinsert (6).
N O TE
• Let the machine cool off.
• Drain fuel. To do this, empty the tank and drain the remain-
ing fuel from the carburettor drain plug (1).
• Put the fuel in a suitable container so that it does not get into
the environment.
• Store the drained fuel in a suitable container.
• Change the engine oil.
• Pull the recoil starter slowly until you feel resistance. At this
point, the piston is on its compression point and both the in-
take and exhaust valves are closed (Internal corrosion pre-
vention).
• When not in use, store the cooled down machine in a well
ventilated, dry, frost-proof and lockable place. Make sure that
unauthorized persons and especially children do not have
access to the machine.
