indicated by arrows on the saw blade and guard.
The contact areas between the inner saw blade
flange (34), the saw blade (33), the outer saw blade
flange (32) and the saw blade fixing screw (31) must
be clean.
Put on the outer saw blade flange (32). Ensure that
the outer saw blade flange (32) is inserted the
correct way round.
Tighten the saw blade fixing screw (31) using a
hexagon wrench (25) (max. 5 Nm).
Use only sharp, undamaged saw blades. Do
not use saw blades that are cracked or that
have changed their shape.
Do not use any saw blades made from high-
alloy high-speed steel (HSS).
Do not use any saw blades which do not
conform to the specified rating.
Use only saw blades with a diameter according to
the markings on the saw.
The saw blade must be suitable for the no-load
speed.
Use a saw blade that is suitable for the
material being sawn.
Use only genuine Metabo saw blades. Saw
blades intended for cutting wood or similar
materials have to conform to EN 847-1.
Getting the machine ready for operation
Turn the lever (14) anti-clockwise up to the stop.
The motor section swings upwards.

Correcting the saw blade angle
The saw blade angle has been adjusted at the
factory.
If necessary, the saw blade angle can be adjusted
for 0° and for 45°. Turn the adjusting screw (7) (for
0°) or (3) (for 45°).
9. Cleaning

machine. This includes cleaning the ventilation slits
on the motor with a vacuum cleaner. Make sure that
the safety appliances are in perfect working order
(e.g. the motor section must move freely, return
automatically, smoothly and precisely to its end
position).
