IMPORTANT! Please read this chapter before starting your machine for the first time.
This chapter contains all the information you need to safely operate the F4 basic Milling Machine,
clearly summarised. The safety tips listed here are repeated in the relevant operating instructions.
2.1 Intended Use
The F4 basic Milling Machine is an electrically operated milling machine designed to fabricate precision
dental objects for commercial use in a dental laboratory.
This F4 basic Milling Machine is state of the art and is safe to operate if it is used as intended.
However, this machine can also be hazardous if it is not used as intended.
The user is expected to have basic working knowledge of rotating instruments.
If the designated operating personnel do not have this knowledge, the machine operator is responsible
for ensuring that his staff has the right qualifications. DeguDent will be happy to help you with this. Just

2.2 Requirements for the Place of Installation
The machine may only be operated continuously in dry rooms.
It may not be operated continuously outdoors.
This equipment may not be operated in an atmosphere where there is a risk of explosion.
It may not be operated when there is a lot of dust (or even abrasive dust).
Ambient Temperature Permitted for Operation:
Allowable storage temperature range: –15 °C to +40 °C
Allowable relative humidity (without condensation):
90% max. at +40 °C
Required Place of Installation:
Solid flat area of available space (min 50 x 50 cm) for lab table/ workbench.
