Note:
If necessary, the milling spindle can also be mounted in the spindle support 6 (fig 1) of the articulated
arm 7 (fig 1).
Lock the milling spindle by turning the assigned locking wheel 5 (fig 1).
4. With the optional modelling spindle, use the same procedure described in the previous paragraph.
5. Plug the mains cable provided into the socket 25 (fig 2).
3.2 Powering Up
Please follow the procedure below:
1. Activate the main switch 26 (fig 2).
2. The Clockwise Rotation 28 (fig 3) LED of the function key
lights up on the control panel 14 (fig 2). You are now in Standby mode.
3. Adjust the speed as desired on the speed regulator 15 (fig 2).
4. Press the
Milling Spindle On/Off 31 (fig 3) key to switch on the milling spindle.
Note:
The direction of rotation can also be changed for a running tool by pressing the
of Rotation 29 (fig 3) and is shown by the relevant directional LED. For anticlockwise rotation, indicated
by light diode 28 (fig 3), the speed is automatically limited to 7,000 RPMs.
Only change tools when the milling spindle is switched off and not moving.
To release the collet locking lever, pull the tensioning lever forwards through the resistance until a positive
stop is felt. Reverse the sequence to lock the collet locking lever.
The collet chuck is only closed properly when the two dot marks on the milling spindle housing
correspond.
5. The F4 basic Milling Machine is ready for operation.
