Only for right-hand drive vehicles:
Insert the vehicle crimp contact on the grey-white cable on the connector plug into chamber 6
and then click it into place.
Insert the crimp contact on the grey cable on the connector plug into chamber 7 and then
click it into place.
Chambers 2 and 8 remain unused.
Completely close all secondary interlocks of the four tail light plugs. When doing this, ensure
that the crimp contacts are correctly and firmly fitted in the housing!
Unlock the slot C connector housing on the BCM and then pull the connector strip out of the housing
casing. First remove the cable ties at the cable outlet of the connector housing.
Insert the crimp contact of the blue cable, which was previously routed to the BCM, of the 4-wire
wiring harness into chamber 6 of the plug C and then click it into place.
Route all of the installation kit's wiring harnesses along the vehicle's wiring harnesses, secure them
with the supplied 140mm cable ties and/or insert them into the existing cable holders.
Refit all trim parts and any parts removed.
In event that the wiring and the signal wire assignment on the vehicle do not unequivocally
coincide, comparison with the current flow diagram may be necessary. Generally however,
"Signal assignment comes before signal colour". We reserve the right to correct typing errors
3. Coding, function test
Reconnect the earth wire to the battery.
After fitting the electric retrofit kit, an online coding or a documentation update must be

Start the ODIS diagnostics tester
•
Start the "Diagnostics" function
•
Select "Special functions"
•
Select the sub-section "Adapt SW"
•
Confirm with "Perform test"
•
Select "Perform upgrading and retrofitting solutions" via button 3
•
Enter and confirm SVM code
•
Follow the instructions of the diagnosis tester
1. It must be ensured that the latest version of ODIS service is used on the workshop tester
for the vehicle test.
2. The request for the vehicle configuration (SVM code) only occurs once if the procedure and
test operation are carried out without any errors!
3. Unprompted multiple requests generate error messages and have no effect on the
configuration.
Check all the functioning of all rear lights.
Read out the error memory and delete error codes where necessary.
