INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Shut off the water at the main water supply. Remove the existing tub faucet
valve assembly.
Clean and dry the surface area where the new faucet will be mounted.
2.
Verify the hole sizes and positions in the tub deck are correct. For the cold
and hot water inlets, the holes should be 1-3/4 in. diameter. The center to
center distance between the cold water inlet on the right and the hot water
inlet on the left should be 8 - 16 in. NOTE: This kit allows up to 1-7/8 in.
deck thickness.
3.
Loosen the set screw (3.1) on the back of the faucet spout (A) with the larger
Allen wrench (II). Remove the faucet spout (A) by pulling it from the valve stem
(3.2). Unscrew the connector (3.3) from the valve stem (3.2).
4.
Thread the spout mounting nut (HH) down onto the valve stem (4.1), then
slide the spout metal washer (GG) and spout rubber washer (FF) down onto
the valve stem (4.1).
From underneath the tub deck (4.2), insert the valve stem (4.1) with washers
attached up through the center hole in the tub deck (4.2). From above, slide
the spout metal washer (EE) onto the valve stem (4.1). Thread the connector
(4.3) onto the top of the valve stem (4.1). Using a basin wrench, tighten the
spout mounting nut (HH) until it is securely against the underside of the tub
deck (4.2), so the connector (4.3) sits flush with the top surface of the tub
deck (4.2).
If the center hole in the tub deck (4.2) is larger then 1.77 in., thread the
optional spout pin (DD) into the underside of the spout metal washer (EE),
then insert the spout pin (DD) into the center hole in the tub deck (4.2).
5.
Be sure the pre-inserted o-ring (5.1) is secured inside the base of the faucet spout
(A). Push the faucet spout (A) onto the connector (5.2). Push down on the faucet
spout (A) and tighten the set screw (5.3) with the larger Allen wrench (II).
