JOIN AND SEAL THE MODULE SECTIONS
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Clean the
module floor surface, and position protective
material to protect the module surface.
Wearing gloves and using a soft, damp cloth, carefully
wipe the joining surfaces of each module section to
remove any dust or dirt.
Apply 2" (5cm) wide masking tape along the entire length
of the joining surfaces inside each module section.
Carefully position the module top section on the bottom
section.
Line up the alignment strips, and slide the alignment clips
into place.
Temporarily support the top module section by inserting
a set of three washers at each corner of the module.
Position another set of three washers along the middle of
the back wall. Sandwich the washers between the upper
and lower mounting block sections so they do not block
the bolt holes, and so they do not protrude into the wall
joint.
Re-install the bolts into the upper blocks, and gently tap
them into the corresponding lower blocks.
NOTE: Clear silicone sealant is a superior product to en-
sure against leaks. Use of acrylic or other caulks is not rec-
ommended. Sealant may set up quickly.
Working from the inside of the module, apply a generous
bead of clear silicone sealant inside the entire length of
the joint. Check the bead, and fill in any voids.
Proceed to the next steps immediately.
TIGHTEN THE BOLTS IN SEQUENCE
Remove and save the washers used as spacers. Install
the washers and nuts to the bolts, and tighten the nuts in
the sequence shown.
Remove all excess sealant on the inside of the module.
Remove the tape.
Check the inside joining edge for any excess sealant.
Spread out any excess sealant found along the back side
seam areas. Apply additional sealant along the back side
seam areas.
Check that all nuts and bolts are securely tightened.
