It is very important to check for cartridge damage during this operation. If it is damaged,
then it should be changed immediately.
Once the cartridge is clean, it can be mounted once again by followind the instructions
in this manual.
10. MAINTENANCE
* Worm parts and seals should be changed whenever necessary.
* Lubricante the seals with Vaseline so that yhey function correctly and to avoid
deterioration.
11. FILTER DISASSEMBLY
Before handling the filter ensure that the pump is switched off, that there is no pressure
in the filter and that the main electrical switch is in the OFF position.
* Close the inlet and outlet piping valves so that the filter is isolated,
* Unscrew the cover nut. The safety lever, which is located on the lower part of the
nut, has to be raised in order to perform this operation.
» Once the cover and cover nut have been removed, the filter cartridge may be removed
by firmly pulling in an upwards direction.
12. FILTER ASSEMBLY
« Clean the retaining valve seat that is located in the filter inlet mouth.
« Locate the cartridge in the correct position, Slightly press downwards.
* Fit the cap set with the nut, check that the O-ring is correctly located, and screw
the cap to its final position. It is advisable to lubricate the sealing ring with Vaseline
and to thoroughly remove any remaining dirt deposits from the filter mouth.
* Once the cap is in its final position, check that the safety latch overhangs the stop
to avoid the cap becoming accidentally loose.
13. WINTER CARE
It is recommended that the filter be emptied at the end of the season in order to avoid
any deterioration to its components. The steps given below should be followed:
• Switch off the pump.
• Close the inlet and outlet piping valves in order to isolate the filter.
» Open the air purge cap on the top of the filter.
* Open the water purge cap on the bottom of the filter.
« Completely empty the filter,
« Disassemble the filter by following the instructions given in point 10.
" Clean the filter interior to remove any remaining dirt or diatomaceous earth.
