During this process, keep the appliance firmly closed. Never hold the applian-
ce on the same spot for more than two seconds, to avoid damaging your hair.
If you want a straight and defined look, when you straighten sections of hair

you always need to work near the head. To achieve greater volume, on the
other hand, raise the appliance during straightening.
8. The charge indicator (3) signals that current charge level (20%, 75% and
100%). If all three indicators are flashing, the appliance cannot be used until
it is recharged.
9. Turn the appliance off from the ON/OFF (1) button and let it cool before sto-
ring it away. To protect the straightening irons against accidental opening,
press the safety lock button (7).
Styling tips
To create natural waves, place the sections of hair in the straightener as shown
in points 5 and 6 of "Appliance operation" and straighten the hair. Before getting
to the ends, turn the appliance with the section of hair still in it either inwards or
outwards (depending on the type of wave you want) to create a slight curl in the
hair.
6. CLEANING AND STORAGE
WARNING
• Before cleaning it, turn the appliance off and let it cool completely.
• Make sure no water gets into the appliance.
• Do not use flammable liquids for cleaning! Fire hazard.
• Make sure you have dry hands when handling the appliance. Electrocution hazard!
Cleaning the appliance
• After use, turn the appliance off by the ON/OFF button (1).
• Place it on a heat-resistant surface until it cools down.
• Clean the appliance with a cloth. Do not clean the product with detergents, al-
cohol, etc. or with sharp, pointy, abrasive and corrosive cleaning system or hard
brushes.
• Protect the appliance from dust.
• Clean the straightening irons with a soft cloth. Let the straightening irons dry well
before using the appliance again.
7. DISPOSAL
To protect the environment, at the end of its service life, the appliance must
not be disposed of as normal household waste. It must be disposed of at an
authorised collection centre in your country. Observe the local rules on the
disposal of the materials. Dispose of the appliance according to European Directive
on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). When in doubt, refer to your
city's agencies in charge of disposal regulations.
