PRODUCT INFORMATION
1.1. This appliance should be used outdoors only and in combination with one of the approved Trangia products: Stove 25,
stove 27 and Trangia Triangle stove. The Trangia Triangle must be placed a non combustible surface. See figure and table 1-3.
1.2. This appliance should be used exclusively with gas cartridges with threaded valves according to EN 417 containing
propane/butane or Propane/isobutane gas mixture, as Primus 2202XX, 2206XX and 2207XX.
It may be hazardous to attempt to fit other types of gas cartridges.
1.3. Gas consumption: 192 g/h / 7850 BTU/h / 2,3 kW. Jet size: 0,36 mm.

SAFETY
2.1. IMPORTANT: Read these instructions for use carefully so as to familiarize yourself with the appliance before
connecting it to its gas cartridge or gas cylinder. Keep these instructions for future reference.
2.2. The stove and gas cartridge should always be placed on even ground. The appliance must be used outdoor with approved
Trangia stoves described in figure and table 1-3.
2.3. Do not use the appliance if it has damaged or worn seals. Do not use an appliance which is leaking, damaged or which does
not operate properly.
2.4. The appliance should be used away from flammable materials, liquids and gases.
2.5. Never move a lit appliance.
2.6. Make sure that pots and pans do not boil dry. This may damage the stove.
2.7. Avoid twisting the flexible hose.
2.8. Distance to inflammable materials must be ensured. Minimum distance to ceiling is 500 mm and to wall 250 mm.
2.9. CAUTION: Do not leave this appliance unattended while the appliance is in operation. Accessible parts may become very
hot. Keep children and pets away from the appliance at all times.
2.10. Use the handle when handling hot parts to avoid burns. Avoid leaving the handle on the pot or pan during cooking since it
might get hot.
2.11. Handle the appliance with care. Do not drop it.
3.
ASSEMBLY AND USAGE
3.1. Read and follow the safety instructions in section 2.
3.2. Place the burner in the stove and the hose thru designated hole on the side. Both sides of the holder shall snap in position,
and lay parallel to the windshield, see figure 4.
3.3. Ensure that the valve is closed by turning the knob clockwise until stop.
3.4. Check that the seals (between the appliance and the gas cartridge) are in place and in good condition before connecting to
the gas cartridge, see 6C in figure 6. Connect the gas cartridge outside and away from people and open fire.
3.5. Keep the cartridge upright when fitting it to the valve and during use.
3.6. Screw the cartridge into the valve until it seals to the O-ring of the valve and no hissing sound is heard. Screw hand tight
only. Do not overtighten or you will damage the cartridge, the valve and/or the O-ring.
3.7. If there is a leak on your appliance (smell of gas), take it outside immediately into a well ventilated flame free location
where the leak may be detected and stopped. If you wish to check for leaks on your appliance, do it outside. Do not try to
detect leaks using a flame, use soapy water.
3.8. Check that the stove is placed on a firm level of surface and ensure that the hose is fully extended. Place the cartridge
away from the heat of the stove unit, on a firm level of surface. The air holes of the windshield shall be facing the wind, to
avoid overheating.
3.9. Open the valve by turning the knob counterclockwise and ignite the appliance immediately above the burner top. Use
suitable lightning equipment (e.g. a match or ignition steel). If the ignition fails within 3 seconds, turn off the gas, wait 5
seconds and restart. This procedure is important to avoid the risk of explosion.
3.10. Adjust the heat by turning the knob.
4.
TURNING OFF AND CHANGING OF GAS CARTRIDGE
This appliance complies with EN 521:2019.
Avoid touching hot parts, e.g., the stove and the burner. The gas cartridge shall be changed in a well-ventilated
location, preferably outside, away from any source of ignition, such as naked flames, pilots, electric fires and away
from other people.
4.11. After use and when to change the cartridge, ensure that the valve is fully shut by turning the knob clockwise to stop.
There may be a slight delay between shutting the valve and the burner extinguishing.
4.12. Check that the burner is extinguished and that no open flame is nearby before disconnecting the gas cartridge.
4.13. Unscrew the cartridge fully from the appliance. To change the cartridge, follow step 3.3-3.10.
4.14. Let the burner cool off to body temperature and remove it from the stove. Store the appliance detached from the gas
cartridge in the included bag, on a safe and dry place.
5.
TROUBLESHOOTING
5.1
WARNING
5.1.1 If errors occur that cannot be adjusted by following this instruction, or to a component not defined as a spare part,
contact Trangia for advice or to return the appliance. Contact is to be found at www.trangia.se and on the back of this
manual. Do never attempt to make maintenance or repare/replace parts not described in a manual. Do not modify the
appliance, this may cause the appliance to become unsafe. Only use Trangia brand spare parts available at Trangias
web page and at Trangia retailers.
5.1.2 Do not use the whole pre heating tube (1 in figure 6) as a lever during service as this might damage the tube.
Hold the end of the tube with pliers for better grip.
5.2
LEAKAGE
If you have to check soundness and find potential leakage of the appliance, this should be made outside at a
well ventilated flame free location. Do not try to detect leaks using a naked flame.
5.2.1. C heck that the O-ring in the valve (6C in figure 6) is in good condition.
5.2.2. A pply soapy water at all connections and joints of the appliance and where leaks can be suspected. Bubbles will occur at
the leaking spot. If you suspect, or if there is, a leak on your appliance (smell of gas), do not light the appliance.
5.2.3. F ollowing actions can be carried out:
• Changing the O-ring.
• Replace/tighten the hose to the preheating tube using a 10 mm open spanner. If the hose is loose, screw by hand to stop
and additionally 30° (=3-4 Nm). Do not use the whole pre heating tube (1 in figure 6) as a lever as this might damage the
tube. Hold the end of the tube with pliers, see figure 8.
5.2.4 Always check for leakage according to 5.2 and step 5.2.2. after service and before usage.
5.3
WEAK OR NO FLAME
Cold temperatures (below 0°C) can reduce the output of the burner, use gas cartridge made for winter use.
5.3.1 Verify that there is gas in the cartridge by shaking it and listen for sloshing sound.
5.3.2 Check that the valve is properly attached to the gas cartridge and the valve is open (see 3.5-3.6)
If problem remains, the jet might be blocked.
5.4
BLOCKED JET
5.4.1 Make sure that that no parts are hot.
5.4.2 Fully close the valve by turning the knob, then unscrew the cartridge.
5.4.3 Unscrew the burner top (4 in figure 6). Hold the mixer tube (4A in figure 6) with pliers for better grip. Do not damage the holes
in the mixer tube. Never use the whole pre heating tube (1 in figure 6) as lever.
5.4.4 Unscrew the jet (5 in figure 6) from the valve using an 8 mm open spanner. Hold with pliers at the housing or at the end of
the pre heating tube close to the housing, see figure 7.
5.4.5 Clean out the jet by blowing through the tiny hole at the front. Do not use an incorrect size picker or any type of pin etc.
to clean the jet or you may damage the hole and make the appliance unsafe.
5.4.6 Refit the jet and screw it tightly. To ensure a gas seal, screw by hand to stop and additionally 30° (=3-4 Nm). Hold with
pliers at the end of the pre heating tube close to the housing, see figure 7.
5.4.7 Refit the burner top and tighten by hand.
