12 Maintenance and cleaning
Make sure that the product is disconnected from the mains before starting any maintenance or cleaning operations.
Disassembly and relative assembly are special maintenance operations and must be carried out by professionally qualified
personnel.
12.1 Appliance malfunction notifications
Either via the Vorticenet cloud (Wi-Fi / via browser or app) or via the "VORTICE MVHR" app (Bluetooth) in the notifications
section (symbol
), it is possible to consult the alarm history of the appliance regarding possible malfunctions (e.g: Defective
temperature sensors or a warning to replace filters).
12.1.1 Temperature detection sensor replacement
If one of the temperature sensors malfunctions, you should request the intervention of professionally qualified personnel.
Contact an authorised VORTICE Technical Support Centre.
12.1.2 Filter replacement:
Via the cloud, the user can always view the percentage of extraction and supply filter
clogging and plan filter replacement accordingly. Please refer to paragraph "10 Installer
menu (via Cloud)".
After 180 days, a filter replacement pre-alarm is triggered: the alarm LED on the remote
control panel lights up and the filter replacement warning appears in the notification
section
on both the "VORTICE MVHR" app and the VorticeNET Cloud. Filters must
be replaced within 30 days of this signal.
At the end of 30 days, i.e. 210 days after the device has been started up, the "filter
replacement emergency" alarm is triggered, indicating a saturated filter situation.
Have the filters replaced by professionally qualified personnel (fig. 12) and reset the
filter timer:
• Access the VorticeNET cloud (via Wi-Fi): refer to paragraph "10.4 Setting the filters"
• Via the "VORTICE MVHR" app (via Bluetooth): refer to "8.1.4 Resetting the dirty filter
timer" in paragraph "8.1 Configuration via VORTICE MVHR (via Bluetooth)".
Note 1:Failure to clean or replace filters causes serious problems for system efficiency, including:
• Increase in pressure losses in the air circuit and reduction of air flow.
• Consequent decrease in appliance yield and worsening of comfort in the environment.
Note 2: Saturated filters are the most common cause of appliance stop.
12.2 Heat exchanger
Checking and any cleaning of the heat exchanger must be carried out by professionally qualified personnel, preferably
every 3 years. For cleaning use a hoover; for H models the enthalpy exchanger can be
cleaned using lukewarm water, not high pressure, and a detergent; rinse well after washing.
13 Disposal
This product complies with Directive 2012/19/EU on the management of waste electrical and electronic
equipment (WEEE).
The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on the appliance indicates that, at the end of its life, the product should
not be discarded together with household waste but must be taken to a separate collection point for electrical
and electronic equipment. This will avoid negative effects on the environment and health, and will encourage
correct treatment, disposal and recycling of the materials from which the product is made.
Contact the municipal authority for the location of this type of facility. Alternatively, the distributor is obliged to take back the
appliance to be disposed of free of charge in exchange for the purchase of an equivalent appliance.
