Description/Intended Use
The helmet/mask combination is a breathing connection conforming to
DIN EN 136 Parts 1 and 10, and consists of the Heros
and the Panorama Nova S / HE / EPDM / PC / RA full-face mask.
Instead of head straps, the full-face mask has two helmet adapters for
fixing to the fire helmet. In conformity with DIN EN 148 Part 1, the
standard thread connection is designed to fit compressed air breathing
apparatus and breathing filters with connections conforming to
DIN 3183-CA or -CAT. Use only certified breathing apparatus. The
mask protects the face and eyes against aggressive media and is
marked with the CE mark of conformity. For users who wear
spectacles, special mask spectacles are available. Operating
temperature: –30 to +120 °C.

Checking for leaks:
D
If the leak-proofing is inadequate: check the seal line on your face.
Beards and sideburns in the mask's seal will cause leaks. Full-face
masks should not be worn by anyone with facial hair of this kind.
Spectacle frames in the area of the mask seal will also cause leaks.
Use special mask spectacles. Check that the fire helmet fits securely,
and adjust the width or height settings if necessary
mask unless it is leakproof.
Checking the exhalation valve:

Connect the compressed air breathing apparatus or breathing
filter
Extreme operating conditions
In case of low temperatures: Hardening of the exhalation valve disc is
possible. Check for leaks with extra care. Treat the inside of the visor
with the anti-misting agent "klar pilot gel"
In case of high temperatures: If the visor is damaged, leave the
danger zone immediately.
In the presence of chemicals: Certain substances, e.g. H

phosgene, may be absorbed by the material of the mask and may in
same cases diffuse through it.
In explosion-hazard areas: Treat the mask with anti-static spray or use
a water screen.
After Use
Unscrew the demand valve or breathing filter
Remove the mask: Raise the face-guard and unbuckle the chin strap.
