Unpacking the unit
When unpacking the unit, proceed as follows:
1. Remove the unit from the box.
2. Remove the packaging parts.
3. Remove any stickers on the unit (do not remove the type plate).
Prior to frst use
Clean all parts as described in the chapter titled "Cleaning and care".
•
Place the coffee bean container on the unit.
•
Press the coffee bean container down and turn clockwise (approx. 30 deg.).
•
Open the outlet of the coffee bean container by using the sliding closure.
Operation
Setting of degree of grinding
The grain size of the coffee grounds can be varied by means of the different set-
tings of the grinding degree.
Precise data on the grinding degree cannot be given as many different factors play
a role, such as type of coffee / bean, room temperature, personal taste, etcetera.
• Select a ner grnd settng or Espresso. The grndng degree settng 0-20 s used
as a guide value.
• For lter coee, select a medum grnd settng. The recommended value s the
20-60 grind setting.
• Select a coarse grind setting for French Press. Grinding degree setting 60-140 is
used as a guide value.
Note:
•
The ner the grndng degree, the longer the grndng process.
•
In case o a ner grndng degree, the coee can stck together n the grndng
mechanism.
•
If the grinding mechanism blocks, cautiously tap on the coffee bean container.
Grinding coee or flter coee
1. Insert the plug into the socket.
2. Fill the coffee bean container with coffee beans.
Use whole coffee beans only.
3. Set requested grinding degree.
4. Select the desire number of cups.
