Cells 4500
The cells are conform with the EU directive 89/686 and the harmonised EN379
This new range of cells offers high performance through digital setting. The new external grinding
button allows welders to be more comfortable and thus more efficient.
For the 4500 model a brand new device INFOTRACK provide useful information as: current time,
alarm, total welding time and temperature.
Use of the lenses
1 - Press the on-off button: The lens should darken and return to clear. Do not use the helmet if the
cell does not function as describe. If the low battery indicator is red or if the message low battery
appears, it remains 2-3 days of battery. You have then to change the battery with CR2450 lithium
batteries or equivalent. You can find them under the ref W000260920. Make certain that the +
side is up.
2 - Mode control button: Press it to select the appropriate activity
a. Weld mode, for welding, then adjust shade, sensibility and delay
b. Cut mode, for cutting, then adjust shade, sensibility and delay
c. Grind mode, for grinding. Fix shade 3.
d. X mode only for 4500 , for welding outdoor or low current application or when the arc
is not visible. The information comes from the sources and the lens turn on.
3 - Verify the battery level
4 - Adjust the shade you need using the table
5 - Sensitivity control: adjust the sensibility as describe in the §
6 - Delay control: adjust the delay as indicated in the §
7 - INFO mode only for 4500, allows to add different function when pushing the button:
a. Arc time: record the welding time. Following the information on the screen, you can clear it,
and confirm you want to clear it
b. Second push the clock: following the information on the screen you can change between 12
or 24 hours, and set the right time
c. Temperature setting: you can chose between Celsius or Fahrenheit.
d. Alarm setting: you can set an alarm
8 - Outside grind button: when pushing it you achieve the fix shade 3 for grinding without having to
take off the helmet.
Replacing lens covers
Never use the auto-darkening lens without the inside and outside lens covers
properly installed. Welding spatter will damage the auto-darkening lens and void the
warranty.
Remove front lens holder by pressing release points and pulling the holder away from the helmet.
Remove lens cover from the holder.
Replace lens cover in holder.
Reinstall holder in helmet.
