3. Put the foods to be cooked into the frying basket. Do not fill the frying basket
beyond the MAX marker 7 on the inside.
For preparing cakes, quiche or similar foods, place the food in the frying basket in a
baking pan or casserole dish.
4. Slide the frying basket all the way into the product (see Fig. C).
5. Set the temperature control dial 2 to the desired position to set the temperature
(see section "Cooking times, temperatures and quantities").
6. Set the timer 6 to the desired position to set the cooking time and start the
cooking process. If you did not let the product heat up beforehand, let the foods
cook for 3 minutes longer.
The cooking process starts. The operating lamp 5 is lit green and the heating
lamp 1 is lit red. The heating lamp goes off as soon as the product has reached the
set temperature.
The heating lamp switches on and off during cooking, because the
thermostat maintains the set temperature.
7. Depending on the type of food, this should be shaken or flipped after half the
cooking time to ensure even cooking:
• Pull the frying basket out of the product by the handle.
• Shake the frying basket carefully to flip the food.
• Slide the frying basket all the way back into the product.
8. After expiration of the set cooking time, a signal sounds and the product switches
itself off. The operating lamp and the heating lamp go off.
9. Disconnect the product from the mains power supply.
10. Pull the frying basket out of the product by the handle and set it down on a heat-
resistant surface.
11. Take the cooked food out of the frying basket. Do not turn the frying basket upside
down; otherwise any oil that has collected on the bottom of the frying basket
might get onto the ingredients. Use barbecue tongs or similar to take out larger
pieces of meat.
Automatic switch-off function
The product is equipped with a timer 6. It shuts off automatically once the timer has
counted down the time to 0. If you want to stop the cooking process early, manually set
the timer to 0.
