MASS ADJUSTING
During dismantling and re-assembly operations of the safety parts (mass covers), disconnect the power supply of the
motorvibrator.
Having carried out the operation on both sides, re-assemble the covers with the same screws and washers, paying
attention the gaskets are correctly connected in their compartments; wrong positioning could alter the IP degree of
protection.
For adjustment, refer to the MASS ADJUSTING section at the end of this document.
Section 5 – MAINTENANCE
Cleaning: before carrying out any maintenance or cleaning operation on the machine, ensure this is safe. The layers of
dust deposited must never exceed 5 mm thick, clean with the help of a damp cloth. Never direct high pressure water
jets at the electrical vibrator motor.
All OLI motorvibrators assemble ball or roller bearings, according to the size. Ball bearings are shielded and pre-
lubricated by the manufacturer of the bearings. Roller bearings are instead pre-lubricated by OLI with specific grease,
suitable to guarantee adequate lubrication for a number of hours equal to the life of the bearing.
For this reason, no motorvibrator requires periodic lubrication.
Section 6 – SPARE PARTS
Possible replacement of the cables, cable glands, must only be carried out by authorised OLI centres to guarantee
product safety. For other parts, contact OLI S.p.A.
Section 7 – RESIDUAL RISKS
Hazards of a mechanical nature.
For maintenance activities, it is compulsory for the operator to always use personal protective equipment.
Presence of potentially dangerous dust.
For routine and extraordinary maintenance operations, the operator must be equipped with suitable personal
protective equipment and, in particular use safety masks for the airways with a suitable class
based on the type of dust processed, as well as safety gloves or clothing. For more details, refer to the
safety data sheet for the product processed by the equipment where the motorvibrator is inserted.
Presence of harmful dust
In certain dust treatments where there are harmful substances present, the operator who should access, during routine
and extraordinary interventions, must wear suitable protective equipment as indicated in the safety data sheet of the
product processed by the equipment in which the motorvibrator is inserted.
Hot surfaces
The surface temperature of the motorvibrator is higher than the burning threshold. The risk of burning exists.
The outer surface of the motorvibrator cannot be touched during normal operation and in the event of maintenance;
you must wait for it to cool, to a temperature not exceeding 55°C(130°F)
Section 8 – FAULTS AND ANOMALIES
Refer to the table.
