Cold Weather Kit
Models 006560-0 (2.3L) and 006559-0 (2.4L)
MPORTANT: Before performing procedure, follow all
safety protocols and remove the unit from service as
outlined in the Owner's Manual (Part No. 0K3220).
The Cold Weather Kit consists of a block heater and
battery warmer. A 20A circuit from the customer panel
must be installed to power the cold weather kit.

WARNING
Fire and explosion. Installation must comply
with all local, state, and national electrical
building codes. Noncompliance could result in unsafe
operation, equipment damage, death or serious injury.

1. Install a 120V (or 240V) 20A circuit at the customer
panel using 12 gauge, three wire cable. Route the
cable to the generator through the main conduit
and stub opening.

1. Remove the generator end panel
(A). Depending on the generator model, there may
be a knockout (B) above the stub opening. If not,
drill a 1/2 in. or 3/4 in. hole at this location on the
connection box panel.
3. Install a cable clamp (C) in the hole, and connect
the cable.

2. Use sheet metal screws to install a
water-tight
electrical
connection box panel. Inside the enclosure, install
a 120V GFI (or 240V) receptacle (D) and a single-
pole switch (E) to control the receptacle. Connect
all wires and tighten securely.
