INSERTING/REMOVING THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY (I)
Warning! Switch off the apparatus, remove the ignition key (10) and wait for the blades to come to a standstill.
1) To remove the battery (9) from the device, press the release button (9a) on the battery and pull the
battery out.
2) To insert the battery (9), push the battery along the guide rail into the device. You will hear it click into
place.
SWITCHING ON AND OFF
1) Place the apparatus on a level surface.
2) Lift the cover (8) on the device housing and insert
the charged batteries (9) along the guides into the
device. You will hear them click into place.
3) Insert the ignition key (10) in the corresponding opening next to the
rechargeable battery (9). The ignition key can only be inserted in one
position. Take note of the guide groove on the opening next to the battery
and on the ignition key (10)
4) Before switching the apparatus on, make sure that it is not touching any
objects.
5) To switch the apparatus on, first press the release button (16) and hold it
down then pressing the starting lever (17). Last let go of the release
button.
6) To switch the apparatus off, let go of the starting lever (17).
After switching off the equipment, the blade continues to turn for several seconds. Do not

touch the moving blade. There is a risk of injury.
GENERAL OPERATION
1. Operate the product only in daylight or in good artificial light.
2. Avoid operating the product in wet grass, where feasible.
3. Always be sure of your footing on slopes.
4. Walk, never run.
5. Mow across the face of slopes, never up and down.
6. Exercise extreme caution when changing direction on slopes.
7. Do not mow excessively steep slopes.
8. Use extreme caution when reversing or pulling the product towards you.
9. Stop the cutting blade(s) if the product has to be tilted for transportation when crossing surfaces other
than grass, and when transporting the product to and from the area to be mowed.
10. Never operate the product with defective guards or shields, or without safety devices, for example
deflectors and/or grass catchers, in place.
11. Start the product or switch on the product carefully according to instructions and with feet well away
from the cutting blade(s).
12. Do not tilt the product when switching on the motor, except if the product has to be tilted for starting.
In this case, do not tilt it more than absolutely necessary and lift only the part, which is away from the
operator.
13. Do not start the product when standing in front of the discharge chute.
14. Do not put hands or feet near or under rotating parts. Keep clear of the discharge opening at all times.
15. Do not transport the product while the power source is running.
16. Never pick up or carry the product while the ignition key (10) is inserted.
