Draining
MAINTENANCE
Risk of severe injury or death by electrical shock or pressurized fluids.
• Always unplug the power cord in addition to removing the fuse or shutting off the circuit breaker before working
on the pump or control.
• Relieve system pressure before service.
• This product should be serviced by qualified electrical or plumbing personnel only.
• Pump may become hot during operation. Allow pump to cool before servicing.
Draining
Drain the system if it will be subjected to temperatures below 32 °F (0 °C) or if maintenance is to be
performed.
1.
Disconnect power from the system.
2. Open a tap in the water system to release the pressure.
3. Remove the drain and priming plugs from the pump casing.
4. Remove the pressure tank drain plug (if applicable).
5. Allow ample time for the system to drain before reinstalling the plugs.
Periodic Maintenance
Inspect the pump monthly.

Make sure the pump is still securely bolted to the foundation.
NOTE: The pump can be maintained and inspected without removing the flow control device.
2. Ensure that there is adequate clearance from combustible materials, shelving, cabinets, leaves,
debris, etc.
3. Ensure the motor is securely wired into a proper GFCI-protected circuit.
• The pump should shut off when the test switch is pressed during operation.
• Reset the GFCI by pressing the reset switch.
4. Periodically inspect system for leaks and performance.

5. Clean the exterior of the pump with a solution of vinegar and water, if needed.
