THREADING THE TOP THREAD
A- Raise the presser foot lifter Always be sure to raise the presser foot lifter
before threading the top thread. (lf the presser foot lifter is not raised, correct
thread tension cannot be obtained.)
B- Turn the hand wheel toward you until the needle is in its highest position
and the thread take-up is visible.
C- Thread the machine with your left hand while firmly gripping the thread
with your right hand in the following order as illustrated.
- Guide the thread through thread guide (1).
- P ull the thread into the tension discs (2) (which are located inside the
machine). Then guide the thread to the bottom of the groove.
- Do a u-turn around the inside of the tab (3).
- P ass the thread through the thread take-up (4) from right to left.
- P ull the thread into the inside of the take-up lever until it reaches the
eye of the lever.
- Guide the thread into the thread guide (5) .
- P ass the thread through the eye of the needle (6) from front to back.

needle threaded.)
IMPORTANT:
To verify that the machine is threaded properly in the tension discs,
do this simple check:
1- With the presser foot raised, pull the thread towards the back of
the machine. You should detect only a slight resistance and little or
no deflection of the needle.
2- Now lower the presser foot and again pu11 the thread towards
the back of the machine. This time you should detect a considerable
amount of resistance and much more deflection of the needle. lf you
do not detect the resistance you have miss--threaded the machine
and need to re-thread it.
ENFIAR A LINHA SUPERIOR
A. Levante o pé calcador; certifique-se sempre
de levantar a alavanca do pé calcador antes
de enfiar a linha superior. (Se a alavanca do pé
calcador não subir não se pode obter a tensão
correta da linha)
B. Rode o volante para si até que a agulha fique
na sua posição mais elevada e o fixador da
agulha fique visível.
C. Enfie a linha com a mão esquerda enquanto a
segura, firmemente, com a mão direita tal como
o desenho mostra.
- Guie a linha pelo guia-fio (1).
- P asse a linha pelos discos de tensão (2)
(que se encontram dentro da máquina)
e guie a linha para a parte inferior da
ranhura.
- F azer uma alteração de sentido em todo o
interior da lingueta (3).
- P asse a linha pelo fixador da agulha (4) da
direita para a esquerda.
- P asse a linha pelo interior da alavanca
de recolha até que chegue ao olho da
alavanca.
- Guie a linha pela guia da linha (5).
- P ase el hilo por el ojo de la aguja (6)
de adelante hacia atrás. (ver página
siguiente para obtener instrucciones
sobre el funcionamiento del enhebrado
automático).
- P asse a linha através do buraco da
agulha (6) de frente para trás. (ver
página seguinte para obter instruções
sobre o funcionamento do enfiamento
automático).
IMPORTANTE
Para verificar se a máquina foi,
corretamente, enfiada nos discos de
tensão, fazer esta simples verificação:
1- Com o pé calcador levantado, puxe a
linha para a parte posterior da máquina.
Deve sentir só uma leve resistência e um
pequeno, ou nenhum, desvio da agulha.
2- Baixe o pé calcador e volte a puxar a
linha para a parte posterior da máquina.
Desta vez, deve sentir-se uma maior
resistência e muito mais desvio da agulha.
Se não sentir a resistência o processo ficou
mal realizado e tem que voltar a enfiar a
linha.
