Bagging the Clippings
Use the grass bag when you want to collect grass and leaf clippings from the lawn.

Installing the Grass Bag

Raise and hold up the rear deflector (A of

Remove the rear-discharge plug by pulling down on the latch with your thumb and pulling the plug out

Install the bag rod into the notches at the base of the handle and rock the bag back and forth to ensure
that the rod is seated at the bottom of both notches (C of

Recycling the Clippings
This machine comes from the factory ready to recycle
grass and leaf clippings back into the lawn. To prepare
the machine to recycle, do the following:
•
If the side-discharge chute is on the machine,
remove it and lower the side-discharge deflector;

If the rear-discharge plug is not installed, grip it by
the handle, raise the rear deflector, and insert it
