Wind class
According to the quality of the product, Algarve can handle wind speeds of 120 km/h
(>11 bft) with blades in closed position.
For your information, here are the wind classes according to DIN 13561:2015.

The vertical sunscreens are conformable to wind class 2.
The vertical Fixscreens must be rolled up with wind speeds of over 60 km/h.
For a stand-alone Algarve, the warranty for wind loads of up to 120 km/h only applies
to cast or reinforced mounting bases.

Water flow rate
The Algarve can drain an amount
of water equivalent to rain with
an intensity between 144 mm/hr
and 180 mm/hr that lasts up to
2 minutes.
These kinds of rains occur on
average once every 10 years in
Belgium (see Belgian rain statis-
tics: NBN B 52-011 standard).
Bearing capacity
Terrace coverings are subject to
different forces (e.g. snow). The
bearing capacity is determined
by static strength calculations
carried out by our engineers and
validated by internal tests.
The bearing capacity depends
on the surface area and can be
read on a diagram. Consult your
Renson dealer for more informa-
tion.
For example:
∫ 6000 x 4000 mm 55 kg/m² 1320 kg
You will not have damage or
permanent deformation at this
load.
Even the largest dimensions of
the terrace covering will remain
upright with a load of 100 kg per
m², but this load can result in
damage or permanent deforma-
tions.
In case of heavy snowfall, the roof
must be opened.
