Operating Instructions
2.1
Charging Procedure
You can charge a stand-alone battery or a battery attached to a radio. Charge the batteries at room
temperature for optimal charging performance.
Procedure:
1. Place the charger on a flat surface.
2. Connect the USB-A plug end of the charging cable to the power adapter.
3. Firmly insert the USB-C plug end of the charging cable into the USB-C inlet socket at the back of the
charger.
4. Plug the power adapter into a matching power outlet.
The LED indicator illuminates red for one second on successful power-up. Check the power supply
cord connection if the LED indicator fails to illuminate.
5. Insert a radio or a stand-alone battery into the charging pocket.
6. When your radio or the stand-alone battery is properly placed in the charging pocket, the LED
illuminates steady red indicating charging is in progress.
Result: The LED indicator illuminates steady green on charging completion.
NOTE:
Battery charging is stopped immediately upon charging completion. If a fully charged battery is
placed into the charger, the charger will charge the battery for 10 seconds and stop charging.
The time taken to fully charge a stand-alone battery and a battery attached to the radio is the same
provided that the radio is turned off during charging.
