Voltage detector
used for polarity testing on DC voltage and
phase detection tests on AC voltage. The unit
has a device for testing continuity and semi-
conductors. The necessary voltage for the test
is supplied by the voltage power source inte-
grated into the test handle (A). The voltage
tester has two test handles (A) and (B) and a
connection cable (9). Test handle (A) is fitted
with a display screen (2).
Display device.
At the top of the display screen (2) is a test
switch for the earth leak circuit breaker, FI (3).
Underneath this switch are 8 bright LED's (4),
which indicate DC and AC voltage from 12 to
690 V. The voltage scale (5) is on the right of
the display screen. The DC voltage LED's (6)
and (7) also indicate polarity. LED (8) also
indicates continuity and the phase.
3. Operating verification.
The voltage tester can only be used within the
nominal voltage scale from 12 to 690 V.
Never connect the voltage tester to voltage for
more than 30 seconds.
Immediately prior to use, check the correct
working order of the voltage tester.
Check all of the functions on known power
supplies. For example, to test DC voltage a
car battery may be used. A 220 V inlet can be
used to test AC voltage.
Check that the LED device (8) is working
correctly by connecting one pole of the test
handle (A) to a phase. Please check the inter-
nal voltage supply and with this the correct
