Installation information
The installer is responsible for correct installation. The maximum
distance to an evaluation unit (such as PSU02 or control) may not
exceed 100 m. An extension of the 3 m LES02 sensor lead is
realized as a bus lead, shielded TwistedPair with 0.5 mm² core cross
section, and can be routed in the traveling cable. The shielding is
suited (for example, through the cut in the sheath) to take on the
shield of the extension.
The 3 m long sensor cable is connected to a plug in the sensor and
routed out of the housing with strain relief. There, the shielding
contacts the housing, which internally is drawn to GND potential,
high-impedance and capacitively, by a contact spring.
• The shielding has to be connected at the end of the cable to a
suitable potential using the cut in the sheath and a shielding clamp.
• Make sure that the control leads are routed far from the energy-
conducting leads (such as the motor lead)
• In general when installing buses, make sure the installer is not
electrostatically charged to prevent damage to the device during
installation.
