In any event, the following error correction routine is to be carried out:
• Check the supply voltage.
• Check the correct connection of the 4 cores.
• Ensure that the connection to the CAN bus is installed properly. If necessary, use a CAN
monitor to check data transmission.
• Ensure that the evaluation unit is compatible with the LES02 sensor. In the evaluation unit
operating instructions, read how to carry out a reset when there is an error.
• Ensure that the code band was placed in the correct orientation.
• Inspect the slide rails for serious wear.
If the error still persists, contact the manufacturer.

6 Maintenance
In harsh environments, we recommend regular inspections for firm seating and possible
damages at the device. Repair or maintenance work requiring opening the device may only be
performed by the manufacturer.
In the event of questions or spare parts orders, please provide us the data printed on the type
plate of the device.

Before starting work
• Switch off the power supply and secure it against being switched on again.
• Then physically disconnect the power supply lines.
• Remove operating and auxiliary materials and residual processing materials of the shaft
copying system.
6.1 Periodic Inspection
ATTENTION
In order to ensure the reliable operation of the measuring system, the components must be
checked at regular intervals (at least once a year).
• Check the slides for excessive wear or dirt. Replace them if necessary, see chapter
Replacing the Slides [} 66].
• Clean the sensor and the coded band, see chapter Cleaning the Measuring System [} 66].

Comply with the further relevant documentation such as data sheet,
operation manual and sensor manual, as well as with the
corresponding documents of the evaluation unit or of the elevator
control.
Danger due to an unrecoverable defect
Note that, in the event of unrecoverable defects, the facility shall no
longer be operated. In case of doubt, contact the
manufacturer [} 68].
