CHARGING THE BATTERY (FIG 5)
NOTE:
Always check that the power supply corresponds
to the voltage on the ratings plate.
• Plug the charger (11) into a 120 Volt AC power source.
The green indicator light on the charger will illuminate,
confirming it is powered.
• Connect the charger to the battery pack (9) as shown
in FIG 5. The red light on the charger will illuminate,
indicating that the battery is charging. Meanwhile, the
power indicator lights (8b) on the battery pack will flash,
indicating the charging status.
• All three indicate lights will turn solid green once
charging is complete.
• It is normal for the battery pack to become warm while
charging.
• If the battery pack is hot after continuous use in the
tool, allow it to cool down to room temperature before
charging. This will extend the life of your batteries.
NOTE:
It takes approximately 80 minutes to charge up
a completely discharged 2.0Ah battery pack.

BATTERY POWER INDICATOR (FIG 5)
There is a battery power indicator on the battery pack. It
has three green lights (8b). Depress the power indicator
button (8a) on the side to check the battery power level.
When all three lights illuminate, it indicates the battery is at
full power. The battery is at half full power when two lights
illuminate. When one light illuminates only, it indicates that
the battery is at low power level and requires immediate
charging.

LINE-OF-CUT INDICATORS
• Line-of-cut indicator notch is provided at the front of
the saw base.
• The left edge of the notch is used to follow a line when
making a 0° cut. The left edge of the notch is 1-1/4"
from the outside edge of the base.
• The right edge of the notch is used to follow a line when
making a 45° bevel cut.
• Since blade thicknesses vary, it is necessary to make
test cuts in scrap material, along a guideline, to
determine proper alignment of the guideline within the
notch to obtain an accurate cut.
USING THE LASER FEATURE
• Your saw comes with a laser guide (6-FIG 1) on the front
top of the upper guard.
• The Laser feature clearly shows you an extended cut-
line, even over debris on the workpiece.
• Turn it on before cutting by pressing the laser On/Off
button (1-FIG 1) once. Turn it off immediately after use
to conserve battery and laser life.
WARNING:

either directly or through reflective surfaces.
LED WORK LIGHT
Your tool has a built-in LED work light located inside the
front of the upper guard to illuminate the work area.It
automatically activates when the tool is turned on.
ELECTRIC BRAKE
This tool is equipped with an electric brake. An electric
brake provides you with an element of control during
various operations. If the tool consistently fails to quickly
stop after the trigger switch is released, have a qualified
service person examine the tool.
