Safety instructions
Make sure that any person installing and operating the oil
diagnostic device type eDOC:
• Is technically qualified and competent.
• Fully complies with these assembling instructions.
Improper operations or misuse could cause danger to:
• life and limb
• the equipment and other assets of the operator
• the equipment proper function.
Safety instructions in this manual are shown in three
different forms to emphasize important information.
WARNING
This information indicates particular danger to life and health.
Disregarding such a warning can lead to serious or fatal injury.
CAUTION
This information indicates particular danger to equipment and/
or other property of the user. Serious or fatal injury cannot be
excluded.
This note give important or specific information concerning the
equipment.
Safety notes on the equipment operation
Electrical installation is subject to the relevant national
safety rules.
It is mandatory to connect the grounding cable because of
safety reason.
CAUTION
Installation, electrical connection and fitting the device have to
be carried out by qualified personnel and only in accordance to
this instruction manual.
It is responsibility of the user to make sure that the device is
used for specified application only.
For safety matters, please avoid any unauthorized and
improperly works.
WARNING
All relevant fire protection regulation must be strictly observed.

NOTE
Product description
The eDOC continuously monitors hydrogen and moisture
levels in oil and alerts the user when either one starts
increasing beyond a predefined threshold. Real-time
monitoring complements periodic off-line dissolved
gas analysis (DGA) by alerting the user much sooner to
evolving conditions. The eDOC can be mounted at multiple
locations on the transformer including on the drain valve
because it uses a heating element to induce forced con-
vection and ensure that fresh representative oil is always
reaching the solid-state sensing elements.
The eDOC is also a data aggregator for COMEM edevices
and third-party devices.
The eDOC user interface is designed as a series of simple
web pages that can be accessed through most web
browsers. The web interface allows viewing of the current
eDOC status, settings and viewing all the connected
devices.
