SECTION 1:
Intended Use
Intended use
Joey is an early intervention
crawler for infants at risk of
motor delay.
For use during their first 6 months,
Joey helps enhance early motor
skills, by encouraging independent
movement while positioned in
prone. Joey supports the infant,
allowing them to independently
move, while building the
important foundations for their
future physical & cognitive
development.
Indications for use
Joey is indicated as a low
assessment product available
direct to parents or prescribed
for use by the infants' therapist,
paediatrician, or doctor. Users may
include, but are not limited to,
premature infants, non-ambulatory
infants with a neuromuscular,
congenital, or chromosomal
disorder, or global developmental
delay. These conditions typically
affect the infants' gross motor
skills and posture.
Intended to support the infant in
a prone position, Joey enables the
hands and feet to be free to move.
In this position, the infant will work
to develop head and trunk control,
shoulder stability and upper limb
weight-bearing.
Use of Joey for therapeutic
outcomes would likely coincide
with ongoing intervention from a
variety of multidisciplinary teams
to develop the infant's physical,
cognitive, social, and sensory skills.
SECTION 2:
Certification
Joey is a Class I Medical Device
under EU and UK regulations.
As the manufacturer, Daytot
Ltd, declares that this product
conforms to the Medical Device
Regulation (2017/745) and UK
Medical Device Regulations 2002.
