• In the case of skin irritation
or adverse reaction, remove
the infant and notify Daytot
Customer Services.
• Ensure the harness remains
securely fastened at all times
during use. If the harness
becomes loose, stop the
training, re-position and
re-secure the infant.
• Ensure the infant can
always move their head
freely during use.
• Ensure all wheel units are in
contact with the floor surface
during use. The two outer
stabiliser wheels may lift
momentarily during use. If in
any doubt about the stability
of the infant or product,
discontinue use and contact
Daytot Customer Services.
Cleaning & Storage
• Ensure regular cleaning of all
parts as per Section 7 'Cleaning
& Care'. Failure to follow these
instructions could lead to
accelerated wear / malfunction
of the product or unwanted
bacterial build-up.
• Always ensure that the product
is fully cleaned before using with
different users.
• Store in an appropriate place to
stop trip or fall hazards and keep
out of reach of children.
SECTION 6:
Precautions &
Contraindications
Joey can be used from 37 weeks
gestational age (full term). Joey
can be used at home, in a hospital,
early intervention, or clinical
setting.
Precautions
• Fixed spinal deformities such
as scoliosis or kyphosis
• Severe high tone (very tight
muscles)
• Severe muscle contractures
• Severe muscular or skeletal
asymmetry including hip
dislocation
• Progressive and muscle
wasting conditions
• High risk or recent history of
bone fractures
• Strong, uncontrolled
movement patterns
• Poorly controlled seizure activity
• Infants' dependent on the use
of percutaneous endoscopic
gastrostomy (PEG)
• Medical instability including
compromised respiratory or
cardiovascular function
• Dependant on 3rd party life
sustaining apparatus such as
oxygen tanks.
